AIPT Group Opens Fukuoka Office and Establishes AIPT Japan Co., Ltd.

2026/07/02
AIPT Group announced that it has established an overseas office in Fukuoka, Japan, and incorporated a local legal entity, "AIPT Japan Co., Ltd." With Taiwan serving as its global operations headquarters, the Group will form a satellite service network through overseas offices in Japan, Singapore, Europe, and other locations, further strengthening its cross-border intellectual property service capabilities.

The establishment of the Japan office marks an important step in the global expansion of AIPT Group. Moving forward, the Group will continue to integrate its service resources in Taiwan, Japan, and other overseas locations, providing enterprises with more timely and comprehensive professional services supported by local expertise in patents, trademarks, copyrights, technology licensing, and cross-border intellectual property strategy.

Fukuoka as the First Step in Expanding into Japan

AIPT Group selected Fukuoka as the first location for its expansion into Japan, primarily because it is a major economic city in Kyushu with strong startup and R&D capabilities and a strategic location within Asia. Fukuoka offers considerable potential for technological innovation, industry exchange, and international cooperation, helping address the practical needs of Taiwanese and Japanese enterprises in technology collaboration and intellectual property planning.

Through AIPT Japan Co., Ltd., AIPT Group will be better positioned to serve the needs of enterprises in Japan and those engaged in Taiwan-Japan business, assisting clients with intellectual property matters arising from cross-border patent and trademark applications, IP commercialization, technology collaboration, and market expansion.

Headquartered in Taiwan, Building an Overseas Satellite Service Network

AIPT Group founder Ivan Chen stated that, amid the rapid internationalization of corporate technologies, the Group will maintain Taiwan as its core and use its global offices as local service satellites, providing enterprises with timely support in patents, trademarks, and intellectual property commercialization.

AIPT Japan Co., Ltd. will focus on the Taiwan-Japan and broader Asian markets, helping enterprises develop cross-border intellectual property strategies through services including patent and trademark applications, technology protection strategies, licensing collaboration support, and intellectual property risk management in overseas markets.

Strengthening Cross-Border Intellectual Property Service Capabilities

AIPT Group has long provided professional services in patents, trademarks, copyrights, technology licensing, and cross-border intellectual property strategy. As corporate R&D achievements, brand assets, and technology collaborations increasingly enter international markets, intellectual property rights have become an important foundation of global competitiveness for enterprises.

Through the establishment of its Japan office and local legal entity, AIPT Group will be able to support enterprises more effectively in overseas intellectual property planning, including patent and trademark applications for the Japanese market, communication regarding cross-border matters, coordination with local legal frameworks, reviews of rights before technology collaboration, and subsequent rights maintenance and risk management.

Advancing Its Singapore and European Presence in Parallel

In addition to its Japan office, AIPT Group is also advancing its presence in Singapore and Europe. Singapore will serve as a service hub for Southeast Asia and international investment markets, helping enterprises navigate market developments, investment cooperation, and cross-border intellectual property protection needs in Southeast Asia.

The European presence will focus on EU patents, trademarks, and brand protection, helping enterprises establish more comprehensive intellectual property strategies before entering the European market and reduce risks associated with cross-border applications, brand use, and rights disputes.

From Taiwan, Supporting Global Intellectual Property Planning

Moving forward, AIPT Group will continue to maintain Taiwan as its global operations headquarters and build a more comprehensive international service network through its locations in Japan, Singapore, Europe, and other overseas markets. With patents, trademarks, copyrights, technology licensing, and cross-border intellectual property strategy as its core service areas, the Group will continue to help enterprises protect their innovations and strengthen their competitiveness in international markets.

AIPT Group will continue to deepen its cross-border intellectual property services, helping clients establish more comprehensive rights protection frameworks in global markets. Through localized services and an international perspective, the Group will support enterprises as they steadily expand into overseas markets.

AIPT Group Wins GLA “IP Lawyer of the Year” Award, Highlighting Taiwan's IP Leadership on the Global Stage

2026/07/02
AIPT Group was invited to attend the 8th Global Legal Association (GLA) Annual Arbitration & Litigation Summit, held on January 22–23, 2026, at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where it received the “IP Lawyer of the Year” award.

The award recognizes AIPT Group’s professional capabilities in intellectual property framework design, cross-border patent and trademark portfolio planning, strategic integration of corporate intangible assets, and international intellectual property services. It also signifies the growing visibility of Taiwan’s intellectual property service capabilities in the international legal and business arenas.

Invited to Attend the International Arbitration and Litigation Summit

The 8th Global Legal Association Annual Arbitration & Litigation Summit brought together arbitration institutions from countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, along with international law firms and senior legal executives from multinational corporations, to discuss key issues including the rule of law, business competition, cross-border dispute resolution, and international compliance governance.

AIPT Group founder and Chairman Ivan Chen attended and accepted the award on behalf of the team. Business Director Sharon Liu also delivered remarks at the event, sharing AIPT’s practical perspectives on intellectual property, corporate risk management, and cross-border service integration with international delegates.

From Rights Acquisition to Rights Governance

At the summit, Chairman Ivan Chen noted that, amid the restructuring of global supply chains and the growing prevalence of cross-border business operations, corporate demand for intellectual property has gradually shifted from a sole focus on “rights acquisition” toward more comprehensive “rights governance.”

For enterprises, the ability to manage intellectual property risks across jurisdictions, reduce cross-border compliance costs, strengthen leverage in licensing negotiations, and integrate patents, trademarks, technological achievements, and brand assets into manageable and deployable corporate assets has become a key factor in global competitiveness.

AIPT Group has long specialized in patents, trademarks, technology licensing, and cross-border intellectual property services. It will continue to help enterprises establish intellectual property management systems that offer greater predictability and efficiency and better meet the needs of international markets.

Recognition of Systematized Operations and Cross-Border Collaboration

In recent years, AIPT Group has actively strengthened its systematized operating processes and cross-border collaboration mechanisms, helping clients undertake coordinated patent, trademark, brand, and technology asset planning across multiple jurisdictions. Through professional specialization, case management, cross-border cooperation with IP agents, and IP risk analysis, AIPT continues to provide enterprises with more comprehensive international intellectual property support.

Receiving the GLA “IP Lawyer of the Year” award not only recognizes the AIPT team’s years of effort, but also demonstrates that AIPT’s professional value in cross-border intellectual property services, corporate intangible asset governance, and international legal collaboration has attracted attention on the international stage.

Expanding a Global Intellectual Property Protection Network with Taiwan at Its Core

AIPT Group is currently headquartered in Taiwan and maintains a presence in Japan, Hong Kong, and other locations. It continues to integrate collaborative resources across Asia and worldwide to help enterprises address their needs for multi-jurisdictional filings, intellectual property risk management, technology licensing, brand protection, and intangible asset planning.

Going forward, AIPT Group will continue to expand its global intellectual property service footprint and gradually extend its presence into Southeast Asia and Europe. It will build an intellectual property protection network centered on Taiwan and connecting Asia with global markets, helping enterprises advance steadily in global competition.

AIPT Group will regard this award as a new milestone and continue to deepen its capabilities in professional intellectual property services, cross-border risk advisory, and the strategic integration of corporate intangible assets, delivering intellectual property service outcomes that provide clients with stronger protection, greater competitiveness, and international value.

AIPT Group Completes Multi-Hub Strategic Footprint in Asia

2026/07/02
AIPT Group has announced the formal establishment of Hongkong AIPT Company Limited following its expansion into Japan, completing its multi-hub strategic footprint in Asia, anchored by Taiwan, Japan, and Hong Kong. With its operating headquarters in Taiwan, its technology innovation service hub in Japan, and its cross-border capital and transaction hub in Hong Kong, AIPT Group will further strengthen its services in cross-border intellectual property protection, transaction structuring, and risk management.

The establishment of the Hong Kong office marks a new phase in AIPT Group's service capabilities across Asia. Going forward, the Group will continue to integrate its own and partner resources in Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and other Asian markets. Through a single point of contact for global IP strategy, AIPT Group will assist businesses with multi-jurisdictional patent and trademark matters, technology transactions, licensing structures, and intellectual property risk management.

Hong Kong Office: A Platform Integrating Cross-Border IP and Capital

Hongkong AIPT Company Limited will serve as an important platform for integrating cross-border intellectual property and capital resources within AIPT Group's Asian network. Drawing on Hong Kong's international financial market, legal system, and commercial environment, the office will assist businesses with cross-border patent and trademark matters, technology transactions, and intangible asset management.

The Hong Kong office will focus on three principal areas:

  • Cross-Border Coordination: Managing patent and trademark matters in Taiwan, Mainland China, and other jurisdictions while coordinating intellectual property service requirements across markets.
  • Transaction Structuring: Supporting cross-border licensing, technology transaction structuring, and intangible asset valuation.
  • Risk Management: Conducting intellectual property risk assessments and developing protection strategies before businesses enter overseas markets.

From Filing and Prosecution to Cross-Border IP Risk Advisory

AIPT Group founder Ivan Chen noted that intellectual property risk management is among the most frequently overlooked yet consequential risks in the course of business globalization. Many businesses do not confront patent infringement, trademark conflicts, or market-related rights disputes until after a product has been launched. By that stage, the cost of addressing the issue is often significantly higher, and the business may have already lost negotiating leverage.

AIPT Group will therefore expand its role beyond patent and trademark filing and prosecution to serve as a cross-border intellectual property risk advisor. The Group will assist clients in establishing more comprehensive protection frameworks and compliance strategies before product launches, technology collaborations, licensing transactions, and overseas market expansion.

Specialized Roles Across Taiwan, Japan, and Hong Kong Strengthen the Asian Service Network

Within its Asian network, AIPT Group will assign distinct roles based on the strengths of each market. Taiwan will remain the Group's operating headquarters and its base for intellectual property and legal services, supporting domestic and international IP strategies. AIPT Japan will focus on technology innovation and advanced manufacturing services, assisting businesses with intellectual property matters involving research and development, patent portfolio strategy, and advanced manufacturing. Hongkong AIPT Company Limited will focus on cross-border capital, technology transactions, licensing structures, and compliance coordination, serving as a key platform for businesses developing international IP portfolios.

Through collaboration among its Taiwan, Japan, and Hong Kong operations, together with service resources in Shenzhen and other Asian markets, AIPT Group will continue to support businesses with cross-border IP strategy, risk assessment, filing and prosecution management, and ongoing rights maintenance.

Launching Global Cross-Border IP Risk Advisory Services

As overseas expansion, technology collaboration, licensing transactions, and international supply-chain arrangements become increasingly common, AIPT Group will launch its Global Cross-Border IP Risk Advisory Services. These services will help businesses identify potential intellectual property risks and assess the value of their IP assets before entering overseas markets.

The services will comprise three core advisory modules:

  • Risk Assessment: Analyzing technology-related infringement risks, trademark conflicts, market-entry priorities, and patent and trademark filing and protection strategies.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Structuring technology licensing models, transaction terms, cross-border collaboration arrangements, and supply-chain IP risk controls.
  • Value Assessment: Conducting valuations of patent portfolios, intangible assets, and technology transaction assets, together with reviews of the underlying investment rationale.
