When an electrical product is damaged by overheating, smoke, ignition, or fire during use, Action Technology can perform site observations, product construction examinations, component analysis, and laboratory testing to help identify technically plausible failure mechanisms and support corrective action. Findings are based on the condition of the product and the information available for review.

Scope of Services
On-Site Product Incident Assessment SITE EXAMINATION ONLY
- A technical specialist attends the site to assist with product-focused inspection and documentation.
- Functional checks are performed when the specimen has not been completely destroyed and can be operated safely.
- Internal construction and wiring are examined when the condition of the specimen permits.
- Site observations and photographic documentation relevant to the product are recorded.
- Suspected ignition areas associated with the product are examined.
- The product enclosure, power cord, plug, and accessible connection points are examined.
Laboratory Examination and Testing PRODUCT RETURNED TO THE LABORATORY
- Product disassembly and failure analysis.
- Functional and operational checks when the condition of the product permits.
- Examination of internal construction and wiring.
- Examination and testing of components that may have contributed to overheating or ignition.
- Applicable electrical safety and EMC testing, where relevant and technically feasible.
- Controlled reconstruction or simulation of plausible failure scenarios, subject to feasibility and safety considerations.
- Targeted testing of specified components, standards, or technical questions identified by the client.
